Earlier today, presidents and board chairs representing 27 Historically Black Colleges and University (HBCUs) convened at Howard University to discuss the challenges specific to HBCUs and collaborative opportunities to advance our collective goals. All HBCU presidents and their board chairs were invited and we were very pleased with today’s turnout. The group formally adopted the name “HBCU Leadership Caucus.

All Clear on Potential Gunman

Dear Howard University Community,
At approximately 11:52 this afternoon, Howard University received a call from students in the Ralph Bunche Center reporting a shooting at the College of Medicine. Officers at the College of Medicine responded immediately and did not hear or see anything suspicious. During the time of the search, the Metropolitan Police Department received anonymous calls of a potential armed gunman on campus.
