Onwujei Jude has over four years of experience in public health practice. Through programs for the Nigeria Centre’s for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC), he contributes to disease prevention, control, and implementation of public health interventions. He is currently the director of the department of training and leadership development in Jesusteenaglow Missions Foundation (Delta state), a faith-based nonprofit organization, where he develops and teaches leadership training modules and volunteers as a mentor to secondary school prefects. Jude is a postgraduate student with the Nigeria Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Program (NFELTP) at the University of Ibadan and is studying Public Health Epidemiology and Medical Statistics. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, he plans to continue his support for public health practice in Nigeria and to build institutional capacity of local organizations involved in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
