Lawrence Chuma has over eight years of experience working with civil society in the areas of human rights, governance, and leadership as well as advocating for policies that influence the well-being of youth, women, and marginalized groups. He has served as a youth representative to various national and international events, and engaged as a convener, facilitator, trainer and panelist. Currently, Lawrence is a lead Consultant and founder of Diligent Solutions International, a company that works to build the capacities of civil societies, emerging business enterprises, and local government leaders. He holds a postgraduate diploma in Economic Diplomacy. Upon completion of the Washington Fellowship, he plans to mobilize and undertake a leadership training program that will empower youth to participate in governance, leadership and accountability.
