Pamela Kanora has over six years’ experience in democratic governance and elections on the continent of Africa. She is currently involved in African Union election observation missions as a long-term observer and election expert, for which her duties include impartial, professional analysis and independent assessment of electoral processes in accordance with national laws and their conformity with international and regional norms and standards. Pamela holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in International Cooperation and Development from the University of Fernando Pessoa, Open University of Tanzania. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Pamela will continue to engage in harnessing democratic and credible elections in Africa through election observation, and plans to pioneer a youth based non-governmental organization in Tanzania to promote democratic governance, human rights, and youth political participation.
