Notification of Policy Prohibiting Sex and Gender-Based Discrimination, Sexual Misconduct and Retaliation

Read full notification here.

In 2017, the Title IX Office developed a revised Title IX Policy that provided a process to better offer support to victims/survivors of all forms of sexual and gender-based misconduct, and better protected the rights of both complainants and respondents during Title IX investigations. In 2020, The US Department of Education issued new rules regarding Title IX, effective August 14th, 2020. In compliance with these new regulations, Howard's Title IX Policy was revised again, resulting in the POLICY PROHIBITING SEX AND GENDER-BASED DISCRIMINATION, SEXUAL MISCONDUCT AND RETALIATION, effective August 14th, 2020.

A one-page summary of key provisions of the Policy is available here.

We are available by email, phone, or appointment, to answer questions, offer supportive measures and other services, or receive reports. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
